E-Mail Address

It is hard to say that I am impressed with the number of e-mail addresses that I’ve held over the long span of time I’ve been an “active forumer.” I started back in 2005, and in either late 2005 or early 2006, I created my first gmail account, with Google. I asked a friend to invite me. At this point in time, it was very exclusive, due to the size of the inbox compared to other services. My friend used one of his two (2 – that’s right) invites on me, and I really appreciated it. Now though, gmail has become a free for all and lost the exclusive sense to it.

I realized that I’ve probably gone through 40 e-mail accounts, with approximately half of them (or more) being gmail accounts. I really am both pissed and disappointed. Why am I pissed? My first gmail account was cracked after I ended up receing over 7,000 e-mails. I was unaware that you could transfer them to another account at this point in time. I may have done that at some point though, because a remember a transfer taking a few days to complete. Well, now I’ve finally decided upon a single new account which I will probably be focusing most of the e-mails I receive via forum notifications to. It makes me happy to think I may rebuild that.

Blogs Coming Together

Since I have finally made use of the blogs on ZetaBoards, I’ve decided to try and link all of the forums here. Most of the blog posts will be transferred to here shortly, where I will hopefully be able to keep up with it all.

Thanks.

I just logged into my Dashboard to find a new layout! This is awesome!

Journalism

I’ve never been particularly fond of being a journalist but I have gained much more respect for the idea. I’ve taken a step back and looked at just how much work and pressure goes through a journalist. From having to cover stories that may be of no interest to having to write up an article about something you feel passionate about, it really takes a lot to be a journalist.

One thing I can say is that from having written an article or two, it does take a lot of passion. You can’t go into journalism without wanting to. If you are in it just to be there, you won’t get too far into the business, at least with great success.

Putting aside the success that is capable in the field of Journalism, there is a lot of shit you have to go through. For lack of a better word, I’ll reiterate. Shit. So many people dislike when reporters don’t agree with them on a specific subject because reports tend to gain a lot of respect and hold wisdom, in turn. Being at a loss of that, it does take a lot to be willing to keep up with reporting.

That’s my thoughts.

Privy Hall

The new category is for my private rants, raves, outbursts, anger management, for the most part. If you actaully care to know about it, feel free to contact me, and I may give you the password for the area, at some point. I just need to make sure that it remains private for an exclusive group so not everyone bothers me.

Well…

I suppose that I am surprised that I actually have submitted things here and there. What’s even more impressive is that I actually use this site more often these days. I’ve been browsing around the site, and I’ve been liking it more every time I see new things. It is a great resource site and also a good place to get comments on random stuff, no matter what it is. It may not the be most active if you don’t regularly submit material, but it is useful when you do. I am considering submitting a few photos and vector pieces. The photos aren’t great. Some are just some basic snap shots that I took of random things, some are blurry. However, I guess you can try to lookout for content from me.

Another thing that I’ve been working on is developing my blog into a website. If you look at all of the “websites” in the world, there are a lot of blogs. Some are simply stunning and provide great content. Those are the places that are nice to be, you know? You get to read up about information that you are interested in. I’ve also thought a lot about what I do online, with forums and graphics. People always want to get “revamp themselves,” because it provides a sense of renewal. You’re past flaws are gone, but I now see that you can’t change that. You mature, and thus it is good to have those flaws showing through. It helps to prove you are a human being.

Lastly, I’ve been developing my last.fm account, also. I haven’t used it much since I registered it, but now I see that I should change that. It is so nice to have a place where you can listen to almost anything. You may not be able to listening to it anywhere (unless you have a device that can move around), but I still think it is great. Those simple, great things are really what makes you happy, right?

I’m at a loss of how to end this, so I’ll note this. Posted at http://gz-nitrix.deviantart.com and http://nivexonix.wordpress.com

Enjoy!

More updates!

In case you haven’t noticed the new updates on my blog, I’ve added in pages for InvisionFree/ZetaBoard resources, along with IPB Resources. Some of the links may be outdated, however, send me a message and I will make sure that they are either corrected or that they are removed. Furthermore, I’ll be writing a bit more about upcoming features in the major forums softwares. I haven’t been writing a lot recently, which I would state is due to the fact that I haven’t actually had enough time to manage this blog to its fullest extent. My posts will hopefully be getting more and more common day by day, in case you are curious to knwo what is happening.

Revamping

After a few days of thought, I’ve decided to revamp this blog. Since my time is limited these days, it will have to take place over time. One of the things I’ve worked towards, mainly after visiting the Staff-Lounge.com, was to pratically run that site. It was a small community and it lost its activity soon before I registered. However, I like the whole idea behind it. Thus, some changes will be happening.

One change that I am going to make is that I want this blog to be more oriented to forum management, aside from my life. The blog categories will be changed, more forum software links will be added, and I will be adding new pages forum various resources to forum software. I had planned to create a website for this, but due to lack of funds, this blog will be able to accomplish this (since the site would’ve been a blog anyhow).

I hope those of you who read this will look forward to the changes.

So…

…I guess people actually read this? New post. Also posted here (my ThemeZone blog).

History is so important to many people. Whether we like the actions that we have previously done, or whether they disgust us, we have to live with those decisions. We’ve made the decision and thus we must face the reality of having made it. Sometimes, these are not easy. I know I’ve had a few decisions that were not easy. I’ve been faced with difficult decisions daily, but we need to choose one option. We need to write out history to live it.

There are so many things on the Theme Zone that are simply leave me in awe. You believe everyone is perfect, but a lot of us have faults. Quite a few of us may not do as much as we like, but is that a reason to leave? Actually, it might be. When you’ve lost energy, drive, and motivation, what do you do? Continue on without any hope? It’s very hard to get yourself out of a downward slump, however, it is possible. I have to say I am impressed with those who have done some amazing things.

Yea, usually these are just ramblings. Thanks for reading, leave a comment.

New Theme & Forums

I finally changed the theme of this blog. The other one was a bit boring, though I don’t remember which one it was. I only wish I could actually create my own theme, but alas I cannot.

I have been carefully evaluating forums the past few days, mostly since ZetaStyles closed. I have to say that I am a bit disappointed and also a bit happy. There seems to be less resource forums being created, which I honestly believe is one of the better things about the Zathyrus network. No longer is there going to be whored ideas, hopefully. Also, less administration failures will take place. (Think that one through hard and you’ll pick up a joke.)

There are only a handful of forums that I honestly want to see get big in the resource category, at this point. The first is the Theme Zone. It has gained a quite negative perspective from its members. Much contradictory to when the forum was first converted, yes? You must agree, members do feel disappointed and annoyed that the Theme Zone does not hold a larger gallery of themes. I feel that those original staffers should be honored. Those who have been previously staff on the Theme Zone, such as Vulcan, Intimidator, Nicola, Zeus, Kman, Nephos, etc. They don’t have to deal with the crap members are giving the current staff due to the lack of themes and the impatience of many individuals.

The next forum I want to see succeed would be Advertisement Utopia. Whilst I was the first regular member to register there (I kept my word Virus), I have not been active there. I must say though that I am honestly glad Craig no longer runs the forum. it is back to the days of the Purple and White Skin, no matter what the current theme is. Also, Matt is back, though for AdU only. He is a good guy, and an awesome friend, who I hope to talk to once again.

SkinPanel, Revision Reviews, and Ascendency will be back, however, I don’t know whether these will remain for the long run. A new forum that is coming up is corpus, run by Exode, Cody, and Lewis. I think this will be successful, but how successful? I’m unsure, though I hope them the best of luck. :)
